On February 25, Representative Robert Wexler (D-FL), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Europe of the Foreign Affairs Committee, and Representative Elton Gallegly (R-CA), Ranking Member of the Europe Subcommittee, introduced a resolution (H. Res. 997) urging the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to enter into a Membership Action Plan (MAP) with Ukraine and Georgia at the NATO Summit in Bucharest this April.  The Senate adopted a similar resolution on February 14, 2008.  Our community should actively support Ukraine’s initiative and urge our representatives in the House of Representatives to support this resolution.
