Every Ukrainian organization/association, committee, club, be it branch or main office, or individual has the right to membership in the UCCA, with the understanding that they evidence their agreement with the goals and methods of the UCCA and pay the annual membership dues.
Organizations, associations, clubs interested in applying for membership in the UCCA
Must provide the following:
- Official letter requesting to join UCCA
- A copy of their Bylaws (English and Ukrainian, if applicable)
- A copy of the organization’s official registration in the U.S.
- List of Executive Board Members with contacts
- Approximate number of members
All applicants are reviewed by the UCCA’s Membership Committee, which then submits the request to the UCCA National Council for final approval. Applicants are notified in writing of the decision of the UCCA with request to their application status.
According to the UCCA bylaws, once approved, all member organizations, which are in good standing with their membership dues, have the right to send a representative(s), based on the number of members they have, to the quadrennial congress of the UCCA.
Additionally, each member organization, in good standing, has a seat and voting rights in the UCCA National Council, the highest ruling body of the UCCA, between the quadrennial congresses.
As prescribed by the UCCA Bylaws, member organizations are required to pay annual membership dues to the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America in the amount of $100 per year.
The UCCA is a 501 C (3) not-for-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.
