New York, NY (UCCA) – On September 17, 2016, a once-in-a-generation, full-day conference will bring together over two dozen key academic, media and governmental voices from the United States, Ukraine and Europe to discuss the historical significance of Ukraine as well as delve into the country’s prospects for towards becoming a full-fledged member of the Euro-Atlantic Community. The event entitled Commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the Modern Ukrainian State will gather at the Princeton Club of New York (15 West 43rd Street) and feature four panel discussions and three highlight presentations dedicated to taking a fresh, critical look at topics such as Ukraine’s Distant and Recent Past, as well as carefully divining Ukraine’s Near and Further Future. Following the panels and presentations will be a special evening banquet, also at the Princeton Club, at which U.S. and Ukrainian government officials will reflect upon Ukraine’s Present Situation as well as the state of relations between our two countries.
