The Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA), the largest umbrella organization representing the interests of over 1.5 million Americans of Ukrainian descent, welcomes the passage of Draft Law #6327, a comprehensive bill to reform the health industry of Ukraine, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada (parliament) on October 19, 2017.

Ukraine’s Ministry of Health, headed by Dr. Ulana Suprun, has been the first ministry to offer a comprehensive vision of healthcare reform, based on understanding and clearly defining the problems in Ukraine’s health care system, since Ukraine renewed its independence in 1991.

The UCCA congratulates Acting Minister of Health, Dr. Ulana Suprun, the Ukrainian government and all the members of Ukraine’s parliament who voted in favor of medical reform.  Adoption of Draft Law#6327 is yet another important step by Ukraine on its path of reform. “By adopting healthcare reform, Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada is addressing the demands of the people of Ukraine who bravely stood on the EuroMaidan in hopes of a better future,” remarked UCCA President, Andriy Futey, who was present in the parliament during the vote.
