About Us

The Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, Inc. (UCCA), is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization as defined under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, that has represented the interests of America’s ethnic Ukrainians since 1940.

As the largest representation of Ukrainian Americans, the UCCA is an umbrella organization uniting some 20 organizations and over 70 branches nationwide. A volunteer Board of Directors governs the UCCA in conjunction with a National Council made up of representatives of member organizations and the largest branches. Full-time employees staff the offices and support the work of over 1,000 branch volunteers nationwide. Each branch, of which there are over 70 throughout the United States, is formed and sustained by volunteer local boards, representatives of local organizations and members at large. The UCCA national headquarters is located in New York City and its public relations office, the Ukrainian National Information Service (UNIS) is situated in our nation’s capital.

Its membership is broad based, including corporation heads, academics, professionals and retirees.
