Ukraine’s Central Election Commission (CEC) has already registered dozens of volunteers as part of the Election Observer Mission (EOM) organized by the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA) to monitor the upcoming Ukrainian Presidential elections.
Applications for those still interested in joining UCCA’s EOM as volunteer-observers - to observe the initial round on March 31 and any subsequent rounds - can be found attached to this email, as well as on UCCA’s website, and must be received by UCCA by March 10.
International Election Observer volunteers are responsible for all costs related to their participation in UCCA’s EOM. UCCA will coordinate in-country travel and lodging, translators and guides if necessary, provide official CEC accreditation, and comprehensive informational packets.
The goal of UCCA’s EOM is to support an open and transparent electoral process in Ukraine by monitoring it in Ukraine and at diplomatic missions in the United States. In an effort to cover as much territory as possible, UCCA will be coordinating its efforts with the Ukrainian World Congress’ Election Observer Mission.
UCCA supports Ukraine’s commitment to OSCE standards for free and fair elections that accurately reflect the will of the electorate, and does not support any one candidate, political party or bloc.
Important dates:
March 10 - application deadline to monitor all Ukrainian Presidential elections in 2019 - 1st and 2nd rounds as well as for observing polling sites outside of Ukraine
March 27 - latest arrival date in Ukraine
March 28 - mandatory briefing session in Kyiv
March 30 & 31 - observing days
April 2 - debrief in Kyiv
UCCA is the only Ukrainian American community organization to have an official EOM, continuing a tradition of monitoring every Ukrainian presidential and parliamentary election since the renewal of Ukraine’s independence.

Центральна Виборча Комісія України (ЦВК) вже акредитувала десятки волонтерів-спостерігачів Місії Міжнародних Спостерігачів (ММС) Українського Конґресового Комітету Америки (УККА) для того, щоб надглядати за виборами президента України.
Для тих, хто зацікавлений приєднатися до ММС-УККА, надсилаємо вам аплікації у додатку, які є доступні на веб-сайті УККА. Прийняття аплікацій триватиме до 10-го березня.
Міжнародні спостерігачі ММС-УККА відповідають за всі витрати, пов'язані з участю у місії спостерігачів УККА. ММС-УККА буде координувати пересування по країні та житло, і забезпечить спостерігачів всеохоплюючим інформаційним пакетом та офіційною акредитацією ЦВК.
Мета ММС-УККА - це підтримка більш відкритого і прозорого виборчого процесу Президентських виборів в Україні та в дипломатичних місіях у Сполучених Штатах. З метою охопити якнайбільше території, УККА буде координувати свої зусилля з місією спостерігачів Світового Конґресу Українців.
УККА не підтримує жодного кандидата або політичну партію, але підтримує відданість України дотримуватися стандартів ОБСЄ для вільних і чесних виборів, яка відображає волю виборців.
