Dear Friends of Ukraine:
 
You are cordially invited to attend the eleventh US-Ukraine Security Dialogue, entitled Taking Measure of Ukraine’s Most Pressing Security Requirements. The forum will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

The full day event will bring together key senior defense officials and authorities from Ukraine and Europe along with leading US defense experts and select members of Congress and representatives of Ukraine's government to discuss a comprehensive set of proposals to counter Russia's ongoing war against Ukraine. The gathering will also give prominence to reflections by senior Ukrainian and US government officials aimed at considering why Ukraine’s security matters both to its neighbors and the world at large. In total, over two dozen featured speakers are expected to address the conference.

Due to the time constraints involved with organizing such an affair, the co-sponsoring organizations (the Center for US-Ukrainian Relations, the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, the US-Ukraine Foundation and the American Foreign Policy Council) kindly ask that you RSVP no later than Monday, March 5, 2020, concerning your participation.  Please note that seating is limited, therefore we encourage you to RSVP at your earliest convenience to assure participation.

Journalist Nolan Peterson has lived in Ukraine full-time since the war began in the summer of 2014. As a war correspondent, Mr. Peterson has reported extensively from the front lines in eastern Ukraine, Afghanistan, and Iraq. In the summer of 2015, he was the first American journalist to embed with Ukraine’s regular army in combat.

This week,  Mr. Peterson will present his most recent book at 2 Ukrainian community centers in upstate New York. The book, actual and up close reflection of the truths and realities of those who have experienced war first hand in Ukraine, will be available for signing at the events.

87 years after their first gathering in the United States, the Organization for the Defense of Lemkivshchyna (OOL) will gather for their 31st National Convention on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Ukrainian Youth Center in Yonkers, NY

One of the oldest and most influential organizations among Ukrainians born in the Lemko region, OOL remains a leading organization among the Ukrainian American community, and is represented on both UCCA's Executive Board and National Council.

OOL invites guests to attend the Banquet and Concert to be held in conjunction with the 31st National Convention of OOL at 6pm on Saturday, March 7th at the Ukrainian Youth Center, 301 Palisade Ave, Yonkers, NY 10701.

The guest speaker will be
Yaroslava Halyk, president of the World Federation of Ukrainian Lemko Associations (SFULO), from Yaremche, Ukraine. 

The cultural program will include YouTube sensation "Lemko Spivy" from Lviv, Ukraine, the US-based "Na Lemkovyni" vocal ensemble, and the Tsvitka dance troupe.
