You are respectfully invited to participate in a special conference entitled Sobornist’: Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the ‘Great Re-Unification’ of Ukrainian Lands, scheduled take place at The Ukrainian Museum on May 4, 2018.
The gathering will feature six highlight focus sessions highlighting eminent Ukrainian and US scholars geared to take a fresh, critical look at the first modern attempt by Ukrainians to gather their major ethnographic lands into one unified national state in what has been dubbed as ‘Akt Zluky’ on January 22, 1919. The discussions will focus on the 20th century legacy of this endeavor as well as reflections upon the issues of ‘territorial integrity’ facing the present day Ukrainian ‘derzhava’.
The sponsoring organizations - Center for US-Ukrainian Relations, the Ukrainian Museum and the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America request that all emailed or mailed responses be delivered by April 30, 2019 concerning your attendance (link below).
