Each year, UCCA solemnly commemorates the Holodomor Genocide of 1932-1933 – one of the darkest pages of our people’s history. Marking the solemn anniversary of the Holodomor remains an essential component to educating our youth and raising awareness of Stalin’s Famine-Genocide of Ukrainians.
Ukraine has officially observed a Holodomor Remembrance Day on the fourth Saturday of November.
On Saturday, November 27th, the Ukrainian American community will commemorate the 88th anniversary of Ukraine’s Holodomor Famine-Genocide of 1932–1933 with a solemn requiem service in New York City as well as in Chicago, IL.
